At Kidzplay we provide your child with a safe, secure “home away from home” to learn, play and grow. Kidzplay have designed a nurturing, creative world for infants to help their minds and bodies develop. Watch your infant take the first steps toward a bright future when sharing his or her early developmental experiences at Kidzplay.
Infants are unique and have their own patterns for play, feeding and sleeping. We use these patterns as our guide to introduce daily activities that will prepare your infant for life. Our highly trained teachers and staff offer a nurturing and creative environment for infants to develop their bodies and minds. The experiences infants have during the early months and years of life are crucial to healthy brain development. Lots of personal attention and interaction between our teachers and your infant will promote basic cognitive and social skills. Singing, reading and talking are just some of the behaviours that support development during this critical stage.
Physical Development
Physical development of coordinated motor skills is a large part of an infant’s first year. Kidzplay development activities help build physical strength and motor coordination with daily experiences that allow infants to practice fine-motor skills, hand/eye coordination, hand and full body movement, and more.
Sense Exploration
Infants begin to use and integrate their senses right away to explore their new world. Through sense activities, children use one or more of their developing senses related to memory, spatial orientation, and cause and effect.
Communication Coordination
Language and communication development is most profound during a child’s first three years of life while the brain is developing and maturing. Kidzplay activities help develop skills in an environment rich with sounds, sights, and consistent exposure to speech and language.
Social Interaction
Feelings of confidence, pride, trust, friendship, and humour are all part of social-emotional development. Making Friends activities promote early social interactions and conversations, develop facial expressions to communicate, and support self-identity.
Toddlers 2-3. Adventurers
It is a whole new world when babies take to their feet. They walk, they talk, and they begin to develop relationships with each other. Your toddler has so many things he or she wants to see and do, and we’ll be there to guide your child every step of the way.
Toddlers learn through sensory experiences that enhance their cognitive, language, motor and social skills. They turn ideas into words and phrases to better express themselves, and practice the value of sharing and cooperating through group play. Children at this stage start to develop friendships and gain confidence as they use their words and thoughts to interact with others. It is important for children to express themselves creatively and, through our Early Foundations Toddlers program, we encourage all children to develop their unique skills and interests.

Physical Development
Toddlers are naturally curious and want to explore the world around them. We have designed our classrooms and equipment to support safe exploration so your child has room to discover, build motor skills, and improve coordination. Activities focus on experimenting with space to develop balance, hand/eye coordination, participation in creative movements to music, and more.
Sense Exploration
Toddlers need an environment that is interesting to explore, safe, and filled with caring teachers who respond to their emotional and intellectual needs. Our program offers children a variety of fun, stimulating activities, such as matching and sorting, exploring colors, counting, and categorizing objects.
Communication
A foundation for reading success begins as early as the first few months of life. Introducing toddlers to books and language nourishes early literacy development. Toddlers focus on first words and phrases, vocabulary development, following simple directions, and identifying and naming familiar items.
Social Interaction
As toddlers learn more about themselves and their abilities, they become aware of their social setting. With frequent opportunities for group experiences, they gain an awareness of others and a sense of group identity. Daily group-time incorporates a number of activities, such as songs, games, stories, and more.
Creative Arts
Exploring art materials and experiencing music, dance, and drama enrich the classroom. Our experienced teachers reinforce important developmental objectives through these creative, fun experiences. Creative Arts activities are designed to introduce toddlers to cause and effect, self-expression through art and music, and taking on pretend roles.

“Kidzplay has been absolutely fantastic for our family. We put our first child in when he was 6 months old at the Andergrove centre. He loved every minute of every day there up until he went to prep. Being our first I was so worried but daily updates and photos made being away from him so much easier. Our second child went to the Andergrove centre from 4 months until the West Mackay centre opened early 2020 and he also loves his day care days. We only changed centre as we moved south of Mackay. I was stressing about possibly needing to change centre and when the girls told me they were opening one in West Mackay I didn’t have to stress anymore!! The ladies are fantastic, friendly and I couldn’t wish for a better centre to take care of my boys. Our third little man is awaiting his start in the new year and we cannot wait for him to have the same fun as his older brothers. 5 stars from our family!!”
